Itchy Skin rash?

Itchy rash on back and arms that start where shirt sleeves are. It itches 24/7 is there some soaps that i can try like bar soap, shampoo, and laundry soap? Im thinking its a allergic reaction to some soaps. Had rash bout 3 weeks or more. Hydrocortizone n benadryl dont help. What can I try????|||Benadryl - works on all allergies! Then have you used a new soap, eaten something new or changed laundry detergent? Find out what you have eaten or worn or tried thats new and its usually the culprit.|||Don't try anything on before you see a GP!!

Skin can be very sensitive and not all things work on skin rashes.

You should go and see a GP immediately|||Try aveeno.|||its most likely laundry detergent....i get the same thing with some detergents....like purex, and sun and some others. ive switched to "all" hypo alergenic laundry detergent and a hypo alergenic soap that you can find at wal-mart called cetaphill. i havent had any more rashed since switching. hope this helps and you get better.|||Try Sarna lotion. It's available in most drug stores and it costs about $10. It's medicated and recommended for itchy rashes. I will warn you the smell is very intense so use it in a well ventilated room.|||I have a mild case of excema and I am guessing this is what you have. Mine gets worse when it gets cold out. I have tried so many products and have only found one that I absolutely love. It is called aveeno daily mosturizing lotion. You can get it at wal mart for about 5.00. Make sure and get the onethat says fragrance free. good luck! I also changed to arm and hammar frangrance free laudry detergent and it helped.|||Pureworks, it is known to kill virus' and bacteria' for up to 3 hours, unless you wash it off. It did wonders for my cousin's rash. I'm wondering where it is where a shirt covers if you are allergic to something in one of your shirts? If your arms are rash free maybe it would help your back if it wasnt covered all the time. If that doesnt work, a doctor would probably be a good person to go see.|||maybe you have eczema??|||A lot of things that cause rashs and itchiness are direct results of what is consumed. Try changing your diet for at least four (4) days. Eat only vegetables and fruits first. Then if the rash does not fade try eating only certain meats. But be aware of the usually allergy causing foods.|||ck your laundry soap to make sure it is free of perfumes %26amp; dyes.|||Maybe organic soap will help. You could try "Tee Tree", "Eucalyptus" , or "Pine Tarr". Pine Tarr smells a bit strange, but you get use to it. Normally you get these at the health food store closest to you.|||First of all, if it is a sudden onset of rash, you need to go to the doctor. Especially if you have had it for 3 weeks.

If it IS determined to be a contact dermatitis there are several things you can do:

no perfume/no dye laundry soap

baking soda instead of fabric softener or use a no dye/no perfume softener

ivory soap for body wash (or try a baby wash)

Suave makes a daily clarifying shampoo/conditioner that works for me

Lubiderm sensitive skin lotion to hydrate the skin|||I have the same its called eczema. It is dry skin, and everyones is different. Something probably set it off ( I didn't have an eczema outbreak til I was 19) Usually to calm down the itching you have to go to a Dermatologist and they will give you a topical creme that will make the scratching abrasions go away.

You will also have to do somethings to keep your skin calm : use non soap products i.e. DOVE, Neutrogena, Soft Soap Body Wash, DON'T use Cetaphil or anything like that because it just feels like slime. I use Jergens the original brand, and Dove. You can also rub aloe on your rash because aloe conditions the skin it will feel better.

But after you said that hydrocotizon wasn't working I knew it was eczema cuz I went through the same thing (It's basically overly dry skin) and the outbreak was hell. Just make an appt with a Dermatologist and in the mean time take semi cold showers, lotion 2x daily, and use only gentle soaps. Ivory, Zest, and Coast are some of the harshest and you want to leave them alone. Try Dove, Caress, Tone, Oil Of Olay, or Soft Soap Body wash.

Hope I was helpful :)|||most the time when something like that happens to me... i go to the local pharmacy and show them the rash. they normally will give pretty good suggestions as to what to apply on it to make it go away quicker.

GOOD LUCK!|||sounds like morgellons fibers have infested your clothes and you .

I have been on 1000 mg (500 am . 500pm) of tetracycline per day for a year now .. not all better but I have my life back . go to morgellons.org and compare symptoms , your doctor may not have a clue about morgellons so be careful ... no steroids , no petroleum jelly , no sulfur anything .. anti fungal products may help too without those ingredients .. email me if you'd like good luck|||Try and find the source of the rash and then you can treat it more effectively. The skin rash page at the source below can help.|||White vinegar will stop the itching. Could you be allergic to the detergent you are using? Do an extra rinse adding 1 cup white vinegar to it and see if that along with the skin application takes care of it.|||Did you happen to buy a new shirt and not wash it before you wore it? I bought new sheets once and didn't wash them before I used them, and I had tiny bumps all over my face and body. It sucked.

They will go away eventually. Try to wear sleeveless shirts and see if that helps. Take some allergy medicine too, and if you can get any allergy mecdicine cream from the drugstore that wouldn't hurt.

If it does not go away within a few weeks, I would go to a doctor.
