Do I really need to call the hospital for a skin rash after taking medication?

I'm taking amoxicillin and tramadol for a mouth infection, and woke this morning with a rash all over my face. Some websites say that I should call the doctor immediately if a skin rash appears, but it's Saturday and it seems a bit extreme to go to the emergency ward at hospital with a painless skin rash. Should I just wait until Monday and see what happens?|||Have you called your Dr.? Someone is always on call. He could tell you if they think you should go to the hospital based on your history. Are you having other symtoms? be sure to tell your Dr.anything else happening (shortness of breath etc.)|||Just discontinue the medication, take benedryl if necessary. Once you start to develop an allergic reaction to a particular med, there is a possibility that it can become worse and eventually lead to anaphylaxis, which is a life threatening reaction. You should call the doctor or hospital you got them from and ask for something different. Some reactions can be real bad or fatal.
