My friend has had a skin rash/irritation for ten weeks that doctors are having trouble figuring out. It started out on her stomach, moved to her back and now is on her extremities and in her hair line. The areas look like bug bites and they itch. The doctors have ruled out mites (through a biopsy) and lymes disease (through a blood test). She has seen a rheumatologist, dermatologist, allergist...6 different doctors. She has changed her laundry detergent to the free and clear kind. Does any one have any suggestions about what this could be?|||scabies usually has track marks, because the mites burrow. it is treated pretty aggressively, usually the whole family is treated because it is highly contagious.|||Have they checked her for scabies? This is a bug that can be spread through basic contact of anything.
