My friend/roommate had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic which made him break out all over. That was 6 weeks ago. He has seen a doctor every week who gave him prednisone 10 mg, 3 times daily and percoset for pain.
He is suffering from "burned" nerve endings, chills and sleeplessness. The doctor says it will just take more time to heal.
He is using calamine and other skin preparations. Anyone have suggestion of anything to help him heal faster?|||Wow that is very strange!
I know its probably the last thing you want to do, but possible see another doctor to get a second opinion, like a dermatologist, it can't hurt to know your doing everything right already. I would say ice it but I'm not totally sure how that's gonna interact with his medications.
Honestly, it could also be that you have to wait it out, nerve damaging takes a while to heal.
