I have a skin rash don't know if it is poison ivy or a reaction to something.?

the rash started on my knees and now is on my arms neck and chest|||There are so many causes of skin rashes.. I think it is one of the most difficult health condition to find the cause. My husband has a rash on his hand and we cannot figure out what is causing it either. It could be an allergy to food, an allergy to something you are wearing, it could be a plant, an irritation to body soap, poison ivy (been close to any?)stress, wow the list can get real long. Have you tried otc hydrocortisone cream? Have you tried an antihistamine for allergies? Have you tried to avoid some foods? or change body soap? if you have tried some of these and still can't find the answer you need a doctor to investigate.|||See your doctor, it could be a reaction to something you ate or a medication you are taking|||Should I suggest a dermatologist? Or is Chicken pox?|||You should go and see your doctor, and I would say don't itch cuz that is one good thing to not do. Just go and see your doctor and see what he has in store for you.|||I mate be poison ivy I think you should go to the doctor|||see a doctor because it may be cancerous. my grandma had a rash for 7 years and now she finnally gets it checked out and its cancer.|||A rash can be caused by any number of things internal or external. You should have it checked by a doctor or at the very least, ask a pharmacist.|||Poison ivy is a reaction to something. Take some Benadryl, just in case it isn't poison ivy, and put Calamine lotion on the rash, or take an oatmeal bath (Aveeno makes a great oatmeal bath.) Don't scratch, keep your fingernails clean, wash thoroughly in a cool shower.

You can image search different rashes to see what they look like and compare yours...

Obviously, see a doctor if it gets worse, but since it started on your knees, it most likely is a contact reaction (meaning you got into something.)
